At 3" in height the hand-carved bone hand pendant is a variation on the Hamsa and is embellished with brass studs and jump ring.
The Hamsa symbol, translated to five in Arabic and often referred to as the "Hand of God," is widely used through many religions and cultures and is believed to guard against evil while providing the wearer happiness and a sense of peace. It is believed that when one possesses a hamsa, any ill wishes is magnified five times and reflected back to the sender. Conversely, any good wishes is magnified five times and reflected back to the sender.
