From Stardust to Shop: Our Origin Stroy
My journey with crystals began in 2018 after the birth of my second child, when I was struggling with severe postpartum depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Desperate to feel better, I bought my first stone — a three-pound celestite geode that I still sleep beside every night. As I added more crystals to my life, I began to feel better, and what started as self-care quickly became a calling.
When I moved from Brooklyn to New Jersey that same year, I realized there were few local crystal shops. I saw an opportunity to create one that made healing crystals accessible and affordable for everyone. With just a $2,000 investment, I began selling at local markets — and Freedom Rocks was born.
By 2020, I opened my first storefront in Asbury Park, expanded into a larger space on Cookman Avenue in 2022, and soon after launched a 1,500-square-foot warehouse to support our growing candle and wholesale line. Today, with an amazing team of women, we handcraft Freedom Rocks products — from crystals and candles to oils and jewelry — all infused with love and intention.
Freedom Rocks is more than a retail shop—it’s a community hub. We host events, aura photography sessions, reiki, readings, and creative workshops that bring people together in the spirit of connection and healing. Through every chapter, our mission remains the same: to share beautiful, ethically sourced crystals all while spreading good vibes and cheer.
